OTHER ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

Prof. A. A. Shobola joined the then Department of Educational Foundations and Counselling (EFC) now Department of Counselling and Human Development in 2010 as a lecturer and has been teaching both the undergraduates and postgraduates. Having taught and still teaching courses in counselling and psychology with specific area of specialty in Behaviour and Personality Disorders and Modifications. Prof. Shobola has supervised both undergraduates and postgraduates in guidance and counselling and counselling and psychology researching topical issues that affect mankind; areas involving people that engage in sexwork, people in the prisons or correctional homes,people that experience depression, delusion and mental health related cases in general. She has published 22 articles in reputable journals within Nigeria and overseas and has co-authored a dictionary of Counselling and Psychology. She has served as Head of Department of EFC and has being internal and external examiner to students at postgraduate level.

Prof. Shobola is a member of academic associations including Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON); Nigerian Association of Educational Researchers and Evaluators (NAERE);Nigerian Society for Educational Psychologists (NISEP); and Nigerian Anthropological and Sociological Association (NASA).
